What you’ll experience
A visit to one of Oslo’s famous museums on the Bygdøy peninsula, followed by a coastal walk to one of the city’s best beaches. Culture and nature in one afternoon.
We meet at Rådhusbrygge 3, by the ferry terminal near City Hall. From here, we take a short ferry to Bygdøynes – the museum peninsula, just 10 minutes across the water.
On Bygdøy, we’ll visit one of the area’s world-class museums. You choose: the Kon-Tiki Museum (Thor Heyerdahl’s famous raft expeditions), the Fram Museum (polar exploration), the Norwegian Maritime Museum, or the Norwegian Folk Museum (an open-air museum with historic buildings from across Norway).
After the museum visit, we walk along the coast to Huk beach – one of Oslo’s most popular summer spots. If you’d like to swim, there’s time for that. Otherwise, we’ll simply enjoy the view and the atmosphere before catching the bus back to the city centre.
